Trinity bus catches fire on Juba – Bor highway

Trinity bus ablaze on Juba-Bor highway, passengers safe but belongings burned in incident triggered by suspected engine spark.

A passenger bus belonging to Trinity Company caught fire along the Juba – Bor Highway on Tuesday morning. The bus was heading to Bor town in Jonglei State.

“The Trinity Express passenger bus caught fire between Gemeiza and Bor along the Juba – Bor Highway today [Tuesday] morning,” an eyewitness told Talk of Juba.

The blaze is suspected to have been “triggered due to a spark in the engine at a high temperature.”

The cause of the fire remains unclear, but eyewitnesses reported that passengers onboard managed to evacuate the vehicle despite a few injuries,” media reports say.

The company could not immediately comment on the incident.
