The Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state has declared that Tuesday is now a cleaning day as part of efforts to encourage citizens to clean up their homes and surrounding to maintain good sanitation.

 

On Tuesday this  week, the governor Tong Akeen joined the community at Maper Akot Aru residential area in Aweil Town which included local administrators, Chiefs and the public for a cleaning campaign there.

 

Governor Tong in his remarks appreciated the community in Maper Akot Aru for volunteering their time  and in exerting it to keep Aweil Town clean and green.

 

On his part, Abraham Wol Kom, the state minister of information told Talk of Juba that he is happy the people of Maper Akot turned up.

“I would like to see all the five counties in Northern Bahr el Ghazal make the same efforts by implementing cleaning campaigns”.
